Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Staff Software Engineer with deep expertise in modern C++ to lead the design, development, and optimisation of low‑latency, high‑performance software systems. The successful candidate will work closely with product, research, and operations teams to deliver robust solutions that scale across large, distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high‑performance C++14 codebases for low‑latency systems.

• Lead technical discussions and drive architectural decisions for large‑scale software projects.

• Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior engineers.

• Optimise system performance through profiling, benchmarking, and multithreading techniques.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate networking and Linux‑based components.

• Manage incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem documentation.

• Develop and maintain reusable data structures, design patterns, and documentation.

• Participate in recruitment, knowledge‑sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in C++ development (C++14 or newer).

• Strong understanding of computer systems, operating systems (Linux), and networking concepts.

• Demonstrated experience with multithreading, concurrency, and low‑latency optimisation.

• Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and design techniques required for high‑performance applications.

• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce clear technical documentation.

• Track record of conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and leading technical discussions.
