Job Overview

The Head of Policy – Asia will lead the development, implementation, and advocacy of public policy and regulatory strategies for digital currency initiatives across the Asian region. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will shape the organization’s policy agenda, engage with regulators, governments, and industry stakeholders, and ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive policy strategy for the Asian market, aligning with the group’s global objectives.

• Monitor political and regulatory developments across jurisdictions in Asia, providing timely analysis and recommendations.

• Lead the drafting, review, and submission of policy responses, position papers, and regulatory filings.

• Engage with regulators, policymakers, and industry associations to advocate for favorable regulatory frameworks.

• Manage stakeholder relationships, including government officials, fintech firms, and civil‑society groups.

• Provide strategic advisory to internal teams on regulatory risk, licensing compliance, and market entry.

• Conduct in‑depth regulatory analysis and research insights to inform business decisions.

• Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives with remote teams, ensuring alignment across legal, compliance, product, and communications functions.

• Deliver training and capacity‑building sessions on policy, compliance, and regulatory best practices.

• Represent the organization at public affairs events, conferences, and media engagements.

Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to influence public policy and regulatory outcomes in the financial or digital‑currency sector.

• Strong understanding of licensing frameworks and regulatory compliance across Asian jurisdictions.

• Excellent cross‑cultural communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

• Proven experience in drafting high‑impact policy documents, responses, and advocacy materials.

• Strategic thinking with the capacity to translate research insights into actionable policy recommendations.

• Ability to work effectively in remote and multicultural team environments.

Desired Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, or political monitoring, preferably within fintech, blockchain, or digital‑currency ecosystems.

• Hands‑on experience with regulatory analysis, compliance management, and licensing processes.

• Track record of successful advocacy and engagement with government bodies or industry regulators.

• Experience in client advocacy, public affairs, and stakeholder outreach across multiple Asian markets.

Salary & Benefits

Annual Salary Range: $200,000 – $300,000 (USD)
