Job Overview

Binance Exchange is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our advanced analytics team in Singapore. The successful candidate will work on building next‑generation AI solutions, including large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and intelligent customer‑service chatbots that power our global trading platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and fine‑tune large language models (LLMs) and open‑source AI frameworks tailored to Binance’s trading and user‑experience needs.

• Build and maintain end‑to‑end RAG pipelines that retrieve relevant market data, user queries, and knowledge‑base articles to provide accurate, real‑time responses.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer‑service teams to define AI‑driven features such as smart chatbots, automated support agents, and predictive analytics tools.

• Perform data extraction, cleaning, and analysis on large, heterogeneous datasets (trading logs, market feeds, user interactions) using Python and R.

• Develop and implement machine‑learning models for risk assessment, anomaly detection, and recommendation systems.

• Write production‑ready code, create reusable libraries, and ensure model reproducibility and scalability in a cloud environment.

• Monitor model performance, conduct A/B testing, and iterate based on feedback and emerging research.

• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements in AI, LLMs, and open‑source AI ecosystems; actively contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (specific educational qualification not listed).

• 2–6 years of hands‑on experience in data science, machine learning, or AI research.

• Proficiency in Python programming, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

• Demonstrated experience developing, fine‑tuning, or deploying large language models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, BLOOM) and working with open‑source model repositories.

• Strong background in data analysis, statistical modelling, and visualisation.

• Experience with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques and building chatbot or conversational AI solutions.

• Ability to write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code; familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Desired Experience & Skills

• Previous work on customer‑service chatbots or conversational AI platforms.

• Hands‑on experience with super fine‑tuning of LLMs for domain‑specific tasks.

• Knowledge of open‑source AI model ecosystems (Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.).

• Understanding of cryptocurrency markets, trading data, and fintech‑related analytics (preferred but not mandatory).

• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.

• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
